Holiday Inn @ the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, Saturday, November 10 – Irving Berlin’s HOLIDAY INN tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut … but life just isn’t the same without a bit of song and dance. Together they turn the farmhouse into a seasonal inn with show-stopping performances to celebrate each holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July. But when Jim’s best friend, Ted, tries to lure Linda away to be his new dance partner in Hollywood, will Jim be able to salvage his latest chance at love?  Based on the classic film, this joyous musical include Irving Berlin all-time classics such as “Shaking the Blues Away,” “Heat Wave,” “Blue Skies,” “Cheek to Cheek,” “It’s a Lovely Day Today,” “Easter Parade,” and, of course, “White Christmas.”  Cost is $95.00 which includes chartered coach bus, dinner and reserved ticket.  Chartered bus will leave Benson High School at 8:30 a.m., dinner at 11:00 a.m., show at 1:00 p.m., and return to Benson at approximately 5:30 p.m.  Max is 29 so sign up soon.  Register online or by calling Benson Community Education at 320-843-4545.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas @ the Children’s Theatre, Saturday, November 17 – Great family trip!  A miserly and miserable, ever-so-cantankerous Grinch has witnessed the despicable Christmas joy of the Whos with disdain, from a distance, for decades. Enough! In this favorite holiday story, filled with music and Seussian rhymes, he conceives a dastardly plot to destroy what they love. It’s the smallest of the Whos tiny Cindy Lou, who extends a hand. Through the combination of kindness and community, we witness not only a change in the course of Who-History, but also the size and capacity of the old green guy’s heart.  Cost is $45 which includes chartered coach ride and reserved ticket.  Chartered bus leaves Benson High School at 10:00 a.m.  Stop for lunch on the way – cost is on your own.  Show at 2:00 p.m.  Return to Benson at approximately 6:30 p.m.  Max is 29 so sign up soon.  Register online or by calling Benson Community Education at 320-843-4545.
